CEA helped the Catonsville Chamber of Commerce to staff its booth at the Catonsville Craft Fair on Sunday, Sept. 11. The Chamber was kind enough to give CEA part of its booth in exchange for helping them distribute Chamber materials.
Jane Byers and 11 other volunteers worked in shifts throughout the day. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of interest – from neighbors living on Bloomsbury to someone from Our Daily Bread wishing to donate cans of food that they can’t use.
Margaret Milleker liked the CEA T-shirts and stopped to buy one. We sold a dozen shirts on Sunday and collected over $80 in donations.
Thanks to some hardy volunteers from Christian Temple who worked in the heat the weekend of Sept.10-11, the once peeling paint on the front porch ceiling is no more. The primary painters were Olabiyi Aina, Kari Barnes, and Erin Fisher along with Pastor Rick Powell. Each year Christian Temple does a service project at CEA in remembrance of 9/11. Thanks to all for improving our building, and making our face to the community look so nice.
