to make our work possible

Over the past few months, we’ve seen a rising need for food assistance in our community. Thankfully, we’ve been able to respond because of your support. As you watch this video from our Executive Director Caitlin Kirby, please consider making a donation to CEA.
Thanks to our friends at The Beacon Home Team for sharing the love and collecting food for CEA 🩷

❤️ Love Our Neighbors – Food Drive for CEA ❤️
This February, we’re collecting non-perishable food donations to support Catonsville Emergency Assistance (CEA)—an incredible local nonprofit that helps neighbors in need with food, housing stability, and essential support services.
📅 February 9–20
🛒 Most needed items: canned or pouched protein
Donations can be dropped off at our office (please message us first to confirm we’re in), or we’re happy to pick up your donation if that’s more convenient.
Every item helps a local family—and together, we can make a real difference right here in our community. 💙
👉 Want to participate or have questions? Contact us—we’d love to help!

It’s so cold out but SOUP’S ON @atwatersfood
Stop in tomorrow (1/21) at Atwater’s (dine in only) for free soup day, and pick up a pint of your favorite! A portion of the proceeds of every pint of soup sold in January will be donated back to CEA in support of our mission: providing food, utility & eviction assistance to our Catonsville neighbors in need.
Thank you to our friends at Atwater’s!

The USDA’s newest food security report confirms what families across the country already know—food insecurity is real, widespread, and affecting people in every community. Understanding these findings helps move us closer to solutions that ensure everyone has the food they need to thrive.

Help us make our food distribution just a little more sweet for our neighbors in need. 🍪
Please pick up an extra brownie mix or cookie mix the next time you are shopping and drop it by CEA.
Donations are accepted at the backdoor of our 25 Bloomsbury Avenue building, and our hours are:

Thank you to Historic Mt. Gilboa AME Church for your continued support of our mission!
REPOST:
Our faith is put into action when we serve others. Our Lydia Harris Women’s Missionary Society answered the call to serve as part of the AME Church’s Nationwide Food Drive, which was extended into a holiday canned food drive.
As a faith community, we collected over 200+ food items and 132 pounds of food, which was donated to the Catonsville Emergency Assistance - CEA, our local community partner that provides emergency food and essential support to Catonsville residents. Thank you to everyone who made a difference with their contributions as we impact the lives of our fellow neighbors in need! @followers #donation #food #community #church
