Eviction Prevention Assistance

Eligibility

Are you about to be evicted and need help to pay your rent? CEA may be able to assist. You must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible for assistance:

  1. You must live in the CEA service area. Click here for a live Google Map of our service area and enter your address in the search box on the upper left of the page.
  2. You must be below moderate income based on the Federal guidelines published by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The total household income before any deductions from all sources (including but not limited to gross wages, retirement, disability and any other government or private benefits) must fall in one of the following ranges:

  4. You must have a court ordered eviction notice.

What do I bring to the appointment?

  1. Photo ID for each adult in the household
  2. Social Security card for each person in the household
  3. Proof of Residency (your rental agreement)
  4. Proof of Income (pay stubs, unemployment benefits, social security benefits, or disability benefits
  5. Warrant of Restitution
  6. Money Orders for the difference owed between the amount of assistance we can offer and the amount on your Warrant of Restitution.
