Are you in need of more food?

Income eligible households who reside in the CEA service area may register to receive supplemental groceries once per month. People who are currently unhoused may register to receive supplemental shelf-stable foods once per week.


Eligibility

Our eligibility requirements to receive supplemental groceries are:

  1. You must live within our service area which is Greater Catonsville. CEA’s boundaries are: Security Boulevard to the north; Baltimore City line on the east; Wilkens Avenue on the South; and the Howard County line on the west. Click here for a live Google Map of the CEA Service Area. If you are currently unhoused, the service area requirement does not apply.
  2. You must be below moderate income based on the Federal guidelines published by the Housing and Urban Development Department. These are: the total household income before any deductions from all sources (including but not limited to gross wages, retirement, disability and any other government or private benefits) must fall in one of the following ranges:

What to Bring To Your First Appointment

You will need to bring all of the items listed below:

  1. Your photo I.D. (driver’s license or other government photo identification)
  2. Social Security Card for each member of your household
  3. Proof of residence. Your BGE bill is preferred. If you do not pay utilities yourself, bring a rent receipt or a copy of your lease with the address identified.
  4. Proof of income received in the last 30 days for all in the household. You may use pay stubs and/or Social Security Disability Income (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA), or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP- formerly known as Food Stamps)
